During the summer, it is quite easy to become lazy. Although it seems really nice to relax, it is important to make the most of your summer vacation.
~ Workout ~
Working out can entail going on a run, walking, lifting weights, or going to a fitness class. I know that after I complete my workout routine I feel energized and ready to take on the day's activity. In addition, working out helps clear my mind, and once it's over, you feel a sense of pride.
~ Set goals for yourself ~
There are always so many things I want to do during the summer in terms of myself, my job, my blog, and school. However, there are only so many hours in a day to get everything done. By setting goals for yourself of what you would like to accomplish for the day, week, or month, it gives you self-motivation and a specific focus.
~ Find your focus ~
As I get closer to the college application process, I still don't know what I want to do with my life in terms of college majors and career. Summer is the perfect time to reflect and research what specifically you would like to do with your life. To make that happen, you can volunteer or get a summer job. Those will give you some experience in that particular field, and it will help you determine whether or not you want to take on that career in the future.
~ Try something new ~
Whether it be trying a type of food, doing a different exercise method, exploring a new place, or trying a new hobby, trying something new can expand your horizons. You could discover that you like certain things that you never thought you would. You could develop new skills, meet new friends, learn valuable lessons etc. There are endless possibilities of what could happen when you try something new.
