Everything going on in our world lately seems to be so negative and tragic. After I heard about the recent terrorist attacks in Nice and Munich, it made me think "why do people do such cruel acts?" Right now during this time of turmoil, we need to learn how to spread positivity and kindness. Kindness is something that can benefit our well-being because when we are kind and happier towards others, we become happier. By doing these 5 simple actions, you can brighten someone's day.
~ Smile ~
Lets be real here. Smiling is contagious. By giving a smile to a close friend or a stranger, it can make them happier especially when they are having a bad day.
This has happened to me a couple of times at the Starbucks drive thru. The car in front of me paid for me and my friends coffee. It was an amazing feeling when the cashier told me, and I felt the need to pass on this kind act.
~ Give a compliment ~
People always like to hear someone give them a compliment. Compliments are always a confidence booster, and makes people feel significantly better about themselves and their appearance.
~ Help an elderly person or mother who is struggling to bring their shopping to their car ~
~ Send a handwritten Thank You Note to someone ~
Everyone loves the feeling when they receive something unexpected in the mail. Thank you notes today are not as common as they used to be. However, by saying a simple "thank you" can express the excitement and appreciation you have for whatever the specific person did.
